We invite all attendees of the Marine Bioinvasion Conference to contribute to an interdisciplinary research initiative addressing the factors influencing scientists’ level of engagement in public policy and science-based advocacy. Please participate in this effort by taking a short survey that will be distributed during registration, breaks and the poster session in the scheduled program.

Oral presentations may not exceed 15 minutes and will be followed by a 5 minute question-and-answer period.

Version of PowerPoint presentation can be Office 2010 or earlier.

Poster Presentation:

Poster dimensions: 140 x 95 cm (i.e. 55.12 x 37.4 in.)

We would like to inform you all that the date for abstract submission for the Seventh International Conference on Marine Bioinvasions has been extended to 2 May 2011.

If you are an early-career participant (graduate student nearing completion or post-doctoral researcher) and would like your abstract to be considered for a travel award please send us (before 15 May) a 1-page letter of request (to: info@icmb.info), stating (1) current progress and (2) future career goals.

At present, we are hoping to offer partial support ~ approximately $500 USD. Because some awards are region-specific, don’t forget to indicate the country in which you work.
